Staines Town Centre Re-opens after Industrial Fire

Roads have been re-opened to Staines town center after fire crews tackled a blaze at Renshaw industrial estate. Road were closed for several hours before the fire could be contained and extinguished, while fire crews and investigators remained for several hours after to establish the cause.

The A308 High Street remained closed at the Mustard Mill Road (Iron Bridge) the following morning while staff from business that managed to escape undamaged were able to return to work.

Chief fire officer Steve Owen-Hughes said “A number of businesses on the industrial estate in Mill Mead had been completely destroyed”
