Do you tick all the boxes to be CHAS Approved?
Getting CHAS approved depends on you satisfying the CHAS assessors on a wide range of compliance issues. Which ones apply to you will depend on various factors relating to your business, so step one is to ensure you have the right application form.
There are several different application forms so you’ll need to ensure you’ve got the right one and the relevant appendix. This depends on things like your industry and the number of employees you have.
The Assessment Process
You’ll need to complete the form, assemble the supporting documents and submit it for assessment. The CHAS assessors will review your submission against the minimum standards and you’ll be notified whether you’ve succeeded or not.
If you’re successful you will receive CHAS accreditation and appear on the CHAS database for one year (with an annual assessment to retain your accredited status).
If you’re not successful you’ll need to revisit your submission and improve it.
